Louis Lopez Performer/Composer/Improviser
Louis Lopez is a trumpet player, performer/composer, and improviser. His compositions and music making centers around the integration of acoustic and processed sounds in live performance through the signal processing language of Max/MSP. As an instrumentalist, Louis has performed across the United States in Honolulu, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and at the International Society of Improvising Musicians (ISIM) conference in Chicago. His compositions have been performed at the Center for Advanced Musical Studies at Chosen Vale, New Hampshire, in Ottawa, Canada and at Azusa Pacific University in California. Louis' music has led him to collaborate with a myriad of dancers, animators, and artists in a variety of contexts. Currently obtaining his Master’s degree in performance/composition at California Institute of the Arts, Louis continues to perform and teach in the Los Angeles area and abroad.
